Rollerball Recipes: Emotional Blends

Rollerball Recipes: Emotional Blends from www.EssentialLivingDaily.com

This was my first attempt at making my own rollerball recipes, they turned out awesome! I list my recipe for each below and follow with the properties of the oils I chose. I used high quality fractionated coconut oil as my carrier oil because it is odorless, colorless, and blends easily. These ones I made pretty diluted since my 4yo daughter wanted to use them too but I would recommend using as much as 10-20 drops per oil depending on how strong/potent you want the mixture and also how many different oils you are using in a blend. I used 10ml glass roller bottles – I had to use a hammer to get the top in, let me know if you have a better method! (UPDATE: I found a better method! I just got this essential oil swiss key, it works perfectly! I'll do a review post soon)

Let's Get Fancy: Citrus Ginger Chicken Marinade Recipe with Essential Oils

Citrus Ginger Chicken Marinade Recipe with Essential Oils from www.EssentialLivingDaily.com

Citrus Ginger Chicken Marinade with Essential Oils

Takes
serves 2-4

Ingredients

  • 1-2 drops wild orange essential oil
  • 1-2 drops ginger essential oil
  • 1-2 drops lemon essential oill
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce
  • 1-2 tbsp lemon Juice
  • 1-2 pounds of boneless/skinless chicken breast
You will also need:
  • Grill (or do what I did and use a George Foreman because it’s winter and plus the grill plates come off and go straight into the dishwasher)
  • Glass* bowl or dish to marinate chicken in

Instructions

  1. Mix together (in glass dish or bowl): olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, and desired drops of essential oils.
  2. Add chicken breast.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
  4. Grill chicken and add salt and pepper to taste.
That’s it! Super easy and delicious. I served the chicken with rice (Trader Joe's microwavable brown rice) and with fresh green beans (steamed and finished off in frying pan with olive oil, garlic, and a splash of soy sauce).

* I always recommend using glass or stainless steel with essential oils, never plastic.

Important Reminder: Be sure to use very high quality oils if you are ingesting them; a lot of oils available in stores and online have many synthetic ingredients that should not be consumed. If you are unsure about whether or not your oils are safe for ingestion or have any questions please feel free to contact me!
